The Soufrière Hills volcano on the Caribbean island of Montserrat erupted in 1995, destroying the capital city of Plymouth, and much of the island was covered in several meters of debris. Due to an enforced exclusion zone around the island, the best way to view the remains of Montserrat is from the air.
